Arts
This is a developing area of our church life, using artistic expression in our everyday lives, community and worship. We have teams of young dancers, encouraging movement and dance in church life as worship, in mission and just for fun! There is a small but growing drama team and an art community beginning to form.
Vicky Miche puts it like this,” The creative arts are a powerful expression which can touch peoples lives deeply as they have a way of bypassing the intellect and impacting the heart. Through dance, drama, music and the visual arts we are seeking to build a community of artists to a level that can match the secular creative scene but carry a message that will powerfully change lives. As we are full of the Spirit of God we can expect to be the most creative people on the face of the earth!
And talking specifically about visual art Deborah Keiller says, "There are a number of visual artists in BCC whose disciplines range from printmaking, installation art, illustration, fashion, fine art, photography & ceramics to name a few. The long-term vision is to form a creative network of artists who meet regularly to encourage, inspire & challenge one another in both faith and practice."
