Joshua Generation is the young adult and student congregation of Bath City Church. Our hearts desire is be a family of young adults sold out and surrendered to Jesus, valuing, supporting and loving each other and together living the life that God has given us to the full.
Joshua Generation is named after the Israelite generation in the Old Testament of the bible, who entered the promised land under the leading of Joshua. The story of Joshua in the Old Testament tells us about a generation of Israelites who believed God for the impossible and lived life on the cutting edge of faith. They trusted that God would fulfill his promise to them.
We gave ourselves the name Joshua Generation because we believe that prophetically in our nation God is calling a generation like Joshua and the Israelites to see the promises of God for our nation fulfilled. It is a time for young men and woman to believe God for the impossible. A generation who hear the cry of their Father in Heaven calling “Who will go for me, whom shall I send?”, a generation who answers back with a heart cry like Isaiah cried out “Here am I”. It is the time for young men and woman to step into their God given identity as sons and daughters of a loving Father, a generation bold and strong, courageous and unashamed, wholeheartedly declaring Jesus works today.
God has birthed passions and dreams into each one of us and these passions extend deep into the heart of various parts of our society, such as our universities, schools, the television and music industry, courts, hospitals, the arts, the business world and many other areas. Our world is full of searching people who do not know the good news that Jesus and HIs church is the working solution for all our world’s needs today. All areas of our society are in need of passionate believers living with a desire to fulfill the call of Jesus, which is to go and make disciples of all nations. One of our great passions at Joshua Generation is to raise, equip and release young people to live as radical revivalists, with a passion to see heaven on earth. We are passionate about raising up and seeing the next generation of leaders fulfilling their God given dreams by living as Jesus did, knowing their assignment on earth and through it, transforming lives and impacting the people and communities they are a part of.
Being a part of the Joshua Generation family means being apart of a community of young people in pursuit of being genuine disciples of Jesus, led by the Holy Spirit, stopping at nothing less than knowing Jesus and making Him known to the world through a life of truth, purity and power. Living life inside out.
