Bath City Church Website

Every Sunday, 10.30am to 12.15pm

At the Forum, Bath

When you step through the door you're our guest. You will be met by someone who will introduce you to our family. What ever the reason for your visit, our prayer is that you will feel refreshed and encounter a loving Heavenly Father.

Can I come if I am not a Christian?

Of course. We believe in a living God who makes himself real to people today. Our meetings are designed for you even if you do not have faith at all. We pray that as you walk into our celebration time you will encounter a God who is actually interested in you and what you are going through. Our job is not to convince you of God but rather introduce you to our Lord, Saviour and friend, Jesus. Sounds strange? Well why not come and experience this for yourself.

Why get together on a Sunday morning?

Christians have been meeting together on a Sunday for 2000 years, our aim is to worship God “together” because we are a community.  You are our guest at this family gathering, we hope you feel at home.

What happens on a Sunday morning?

We sing contemporary worship songs to a live band which focus on His love for us. We like to share stories of what God has done for us and pray for people and issues. We have a talk based on what the Bible teaches to encourage and challenge.

Tell me about the worship

We encourage people to express their worship in a way that allows them freedom. Some people like to dance, others like to use banners in order to express themselves in a personal way.  Some sit in contemplation, some stand in exuberant praise, some even lie on the floor – it can seem a bit odd but really it's ok. There is not just one way to worship God, he loves creative expression and variety.

What about the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is literally God living on earth with us today.  We allow him maximum room to lead us, so we try to be conscious of his presence.  Sometimes people will speak words directly from God (we call it prophecy), others will speak or sing in other languages (tongues), still others may move or shake under the power of the Spirit – all these are the moving of the Holy Spirit.

Can I get someone to pray for me?

Of course.  In fact we have a team that is available every meeting to pray with you over an issue to bring God’s comfort and encouragement.  Every week we pray for the sick to be healed and see miracles happening most weeks!

What about children and youth?

We believe young people are vital to the life of our church. We certainly don’t encourage them to “be seen and not heard” – the reverse is often true! Find out about our children's ministry for 0 - 11s; our Blaze [11 - 13s] ministry and Joshua Generation Youth and Joshua Generation Young Adults.

Why do you take an offering?

The morning is of course free of charge, however our money is an important part of our worship and lives so we invite everyone to give an offering during the Sunday morning.  We don’t want you as our guest to be under pressure to give, the Bible says God loves a 'cheerful giver’, in other words, only give if you want to. The money given goes toward the running costs of Bath City Church and the upkeep of the Forum.

What about special needs?

Wheel chair access is provided to the Main auditorium via a lift in the reception area. There is also a lift leading up to the ballroom and above. An induction loop is also installed. If you have any other requirements please ask for assistance when you arrive.

Can I get a cup of coffee?

Oh yes! We have a fully kitted coffee bar called 'Intermission' run by trained baristas, selling speciality coffees, teas and other refreshments, served before and after the meeting. Why not come early or hang around after the meeting to grab a coffee and chat.
