Would you like to practice your English while learning more about the Christian life?
Multicultural Alpha is a course providing an opportunity for learners of English to explore questions of life and faith.
All around the world, in more than 160 countries, the Alpha Course has been popular and has now been especially adapted for people learning English at an intermediate or advanced level.
Each morning or evening involves a meal, short talks, activities and discussions. There are opportunities to learn new vocabulary and the pace of the sessions can be varied to make sure everyone can understand. There will also be plenty of occasions to ask questions and to express your own opinions.
The Course will be a great chance to make friends over food and a chat. There is no charge, though there will be opportunity to contribute towards the cost of food, or to actually contribute food itself – we hope the meals will have a multicultural flavour!
The topics covered include:
“Is there more to life than this?”
“Who is Jesus?”
“Why did Jesus die?”
“How can we have faith?”
“Who is the Holy Spirit?”
“How can I make the most of the rest of my life?"
