Coronavirus (COVID-19)

15 July 2020

Restrictions are lifting across England. However, whilst people may now gather in church buildings that are Covid secure, the elders have decided to continue to meet online at throughout July and August. We will continually monitor guidelines and will post plans for September onwards as soon as they are known. Our building may still be shut but the Church is wide open.

The office remains closed to visitors, but phone messages and emails are picked up and being dealt with.

Whilst everyday movement is further restricted, please be aware that all emails coming into Life Church Bath are being received and will be dealt with by staff as soon as is possible during this time. Thank you.

A message from 3 of our elders reiterating that we are not meeting on Sundays or midweek until further notice - when advised by the Government that it is safe to do so.

17 March 2020

Following the recent Government announcements relating to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want you to know that Sunday and other meetings of Life Church Bath will not be taking place for the foreseeable future.

We are planning to stay connected by filming a weekly video message, updates and songs to ensure that a mixture of worship and word remains available each Sunday morning and beyond.  We hope to find new ways of communicating and updating one another with testimonies, prophetic words and prayer. A new page on the website has been created for the weekly video message. Please see here

This is uncharted territory that allows a great opportunity to be the people we are called to be.  Above all this is a time to look out for those in need and creatively encourage, strengthen and bring hope whilst honouring the current constraints and challenges.

‘As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the household of faith, the family of believers.’ Gal 6.10.

Following this afternoon's announcement by the Prime Minsiter we will post an update tomorrow, Tuesday 17/03/2020 regarding future events.

14 March 2020

At Life Church Bath we are seeking to work in line with UK Government guidance and advice on managing the risks arising from COVID-19.

There is currently no ban on public meetings and other large-scale mass gatherings in the UK and several events are continuing. As such Life Church Bath meetings are currently proceeding as planned.  Other events booked at the Forum are also proceeding, subject to any specific updates on the Forum website.

Life Church Bath has implemented a number of measures to reduce the potential transmission of the virus. We ask that anyone who is planning to join us in one of our meetings but is experiencing any of the associated symptoms of COVID-19 outlined by the UK Government and the NHS, to self-isolate, stay at home and refer to the online guidance.

Life Church Bath will continue to review the advice and guidance issued by the UK Government on a daily basis and will keep the church family, visitors and conference delegates informed by our website, our social media platforms, and by email and personal contact where appropriate.

This is a period of uncertainty, but also a time to stand in faith, to encourage one another and resist the temptation of fear.  It is also a time to act wisely, to draw close to the Lord, because He is an ever present help when there is trouble around.

And it is a time to look out for each other, particularly for those who are vulnerable in some way or another.

For advice and guidance in relation to COVID-19 we would direct you to the Government website. For information in regards to what steps you can take to protect yourself, please review the guidance offered by the NHS.
